Canadian Food Promotion
The Canadian Trade Office in Taipei and Leezen organic store co-organized a Canadian Food Promotion from Oct 13 to October 29, 2021 at Leezen’s 132 stores and website, showcasing a total of 32 Canadian organic or natural food and beverage products.
Canada has partnered with Leezen to promote Canadian organic and natural food products since 2013. This partnership brings together producers, retailers and consumers to jointly promote organic and natural farming, and to provide Taiwanese consumers a wider selection of organic foods. In addition, high quality Canadian ingredients are also used in a variety of food products including dried fruit mixes, bean curd products, soy milk products, blueberry syrup, and many more!
Canada is the world leader in pulse production and ranks No. 1 in sales when it comes to lentils and peas. #Pulses are high in protein, fibre and low in fat, and have shown to be effective in reducing risk factors for diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
This year, the Canadian Food Promotion also features an innovative lentil rice noodle developed by the Taichung District Agriculture Research and Extension Station and Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan, Taiwan using whole Canadian lentil and chickpea for consumers to enjoy both the taste and health benefits
