The demand for seasonal work in Korea is very high because of the superiority of this program. However, many workers still do not understand the program, so they encounter many difficulties and are even deceived when they want to go to Korea for short term work.

There are  14 provinces and cities have signed agreements with Korean localities to bring seasonal workers to work, including: Lam Dong, Lai Chau, Hau Giang, Ha Nam, Ha Giang, Quang Binh, Da Nang, Dong Thap, Ha Tinh, Thai Binh, Thua Thien - Hue, Ca Mau, Tuyen Quang and Bac Lieu.

Recruitment standards for seasonal workers in Korea are workers aged 30 - 55, permanently or temporarily residing for 12 months or more in a locality that has signed an agreement with the Korean side. The employee has full civil act capacity, has no criminal record and is not subject to exit ban or temporary exit suspension according to the provisions of law. Employees must be healthy enough to work abroad to work in the agricultural and fishery sectors.

Employees working temporarily in Korea are paid according to the minimum wage that Korea is applying, a minimum of 2,010,580 won/month (more than 36 million VND). In addition, employees are entitled to benefits regarding working and rest time; Guaranteed working conditions, accommodation, living conditions, insurance, medical examination and treatment expenses according to Korean regulations and partial support for round-trip air tickets. Employees are responsible for complying with the instructions of the sending locality and the laws of the host country and returning home immediately after completing the labor contract so they can return to continue working.
